A 3 ton biogas fired boiler is mostly package type, three pass and wet back structure, equipping with good burners in order to save fuel and improve efficiency. The burner conversion package to be supplied must be able to burn successfully variable amounts of biogas with variable pressure, and moreover, in case it is a dual fuel burner, in variable ratios of biogas and fuel oil, while giving biogas priority so all the biogas is burnt and fuel oil is topped up as demanded by the steam consumption.
The 3 ton 8 bar biogas fire tube boiler can be dual fuel firing with dual fuel burners. Standard burner systems for dual fuel means normally that they burn 2 fuels but in a FIXED ratio. Oil and gas go up and down together in this fixed ratio according to the boiler command. The combustion air is then also increased or decreased in a preset fixed ratio. These ratios are not electronically controlled but maintained by simple mechanical links.
