Coal fired boilers use coal as fuel, and the amount of coal consumed is the key factor to measure the efficiency of a boiler. Under the same conditions, coal-fired boilers with less coal consumption can benefit enterprises more. However, the factors affecting the coal consumption of coal-fired boilers are not single. The efficiency of boilers, the calorific value of fuel coal, the adequacy of boiler fuel combustion and so on will affect the coal consumption of coal-fired boilers. This article mainly takes the 10 ton coal-fired boiler as an example, and gives the calculation method of coal consumption of coal-fired boilers.

The calculation formula of coal consumption for coal-fired boilers is: coal consumption = boiler power * 3600/ calorific value of coal combustion / boiler efficiency.

Assuming that the calorific value of coal is 5000 kcal, it can be calculated that:
The consumption of coal for a 1 ton coal-fired boiler is 133 kilograms per hour.
The consumption of coal for a 2 ton coal-fired boiler is 238 kilograms per hour.
The consumption of coal for a 4 ton coal-fired boiler is 447 kilograms per hour.
The consumption of coal for a 10 ton coal-fired boiler is 1850 kilograms per hour.
